i saw those fly by my dock one evening and swim outta the neck the next morning...they musta left tho...only saw that big bunch one time...lots of shad flippin' on top water...they were scoopin'm up...fun to watch...BIG birds

Did a lot of exploring yesterday as I watched those pelicans come flying out of a cove a mile away that I'd never been to. There were so many in the air I didn't know if someone spooked them or if they were leaving the roost late. When I saw them flying back into there later in the day I had to go check it out. That was definitely their roosting spot. Water only a few inches deep 50 yards away from them. Twice as many birds back there than in the first picture.

Too bad you weren't in a Pelican kayak - they might have invited you to the party.
Looks like a fun day all around Louis! Back to Monty or Fork this coming weekend.. I'm running out of patience. May play golf instead.
