I know this topic has been covered before but I couldn't find much info using the search feature. Who are y'all using for your boaters insurance?

I have been with Bob Luellen w/Worldwide Marine for quite a few years now. “Knock on Wood” I have had no claims so I cant vouch for that but many on the TFF have and have said they were stellar. For me they were 1/2 the price I was paying with State Farm and it was better coverage. One of the big pluses of the policy I got w/Worldwide over what I was getting from State Farm was in the event of a total loose I’m insured for the original contracted amount. The boat was covered years ago by them and the amount of the boat/motor/attached options insured value at that time was $52,000.00. I have kept that “contracted value” all these years so in the event of a total loose that is the amount I would receive. Not some grossly depreciated value like most standard policies. The trailer has its own additional value as does all my “non-attached” fishing tackle. High liability amount but I do not remember the amount. Several years ago this policy cost me $500 annually and I was paying $1,000 to State Farm. The last time I renewed w/Worldwide it was $700 annually. http://www.worldwidemarineins.com/

My insurance is the same. Started the beginning of this year with them at 800 a year.

Boat US and Geico...they have been great and the prices very reasonable.

I've had to use their tow service once on the CO river due to being way too beached on a sandbar. Thanks to a blind corner. Nothing out of my pocket other than lost practice time at the tourney.

Travelers all day. Work in insurance and their policy is one of very few that cover engine mechanical issues. Anyone that's ever had those should know that's with it's weight in gold.

I used Worldwide marine for a while...but I found it odd that shortly after signing up, my account was sold to another company. Then a few years later to another. Not sure what that was about, but I didn't feel it was right so when I purchased my latest boat I made the switch to Boat US/Geico based on feedback from several friends.

Chubb. Very reasonable and great customer service. And they cover when in international waters when I fish Amistad or Falcon.
