Well, I got way laid with broken ribs. Gave me time to research and watch a bunch of YouTube’s about rigging out a yak. Highly recommend Kayak hacks fishing and Kayak USA on the YouTube’s.

Here we go:

1. Title and registration- Searsay was spot on with his guidance on here. Thanks again. I have numbers on the yak.
2. Bluenitro(TFF member) offered to help me get a trolling motor mount built. Thanks man, but I purchased an aftermarket product from one of those kayak accessory companies.
3. MinnKota endura c2 30lb thrust installed and modifying with PWM controller from Amazon.
4. PVC’ed my way to a fish finder mount. Transducer will be installed as a through hull using duct seal block and water.
5. Anchoring system. Haven’t figured this one out yet. I have a trolley system, but I just can’t bring myself to drilling holes in the yak. I’m checking out the Anchor Wizard system, but dang $$ again.
6. Navigation lights. Still searching and want to be legal. I’m leaning towards magnetic mounting. Dang these things are expensive. Remember folks, the lights must be USCG approved in Texas. The LED strip lights won’t hack it under scrutiny. If I’m misinformed on this please respond.

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

And yes, those are retractable dog leashes on both sides of the seat(26 ft). For the anchors. Trollies on both sides.

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.
