This cold and rainy weather has got me itching to go walk a bank with a jig and bobber. I have heard some creek crappie are already being caught. I will be doing some scouting in the very near future once guide trips allow. Who else is ready?
Below is a video from last year to kind of show what I am looking for this time of year in the creeks

I always watch your videos. Another episode of creek fishing using several different techniques . Some solid crappie and a black nose.

Scouting trip 11/10

I went out scouting today and caught a nice one. I had access trouble and didn't fish as many places as I wanted to but still got my first jig and bobber creek fish of the season! Water looks good, we just need some colder weather. With that being said, there are creek fish if you don't mind walking and putting in some work. I will keep checking and see if this next front we are getting pushes more in

Very nice! That is definitely not the norm thus far. Last year was crazy good. It will get better later once we get cold and it stops raining every week.

11/16. Did some more scouting and found small fish. Based on what I am seeing on the mainlake and creeks, I would say that in general, the fish have not made a move to the creeks yet. Really need consistent cold and water temps steady below 55 to get it going. I have trips coming up so I wont be able to look again for at least a week and a half. Hope by then, it is on!

Great video,.. thumb I love your grit. Not every day is great day, and I know that. Thank you for your trash message,
I'm the same way, I'll see trash floating in the lake and turn around and go back and pick it out of the lake.
Come on guys, pick up your trash. Keep posting FISHIN' and I'll keep watching. jim thumb
