Start out with a pontoon, I recommend a 20' model with at least a 90HP four stroke. Modify the front(it's not hard and I will help) to open it up to seat 2-3 fishermen across the front. Add a 36V trolling motor. My Minn Kota Ulterra works great. Add quality side scan and Livescope. I removed some of the built in furniture to open up the interior. Don't be afraid to modify stuff. It's not hard to do. Two Bimini tops help with the shade.

As a fishing machine it's hard to beat and very comfortable.

This is my boat, I have added several things to it since this was taken. I may have it back at Pier 121 in a few weeks if anyone would like to see how it works.

Very nice. A pontoon might be my next rig. The kids are getting older and want to go but my current boat is not really good for more than 2 people. Does the trolling motor have to fight to stay on the spot in the wind?

I may sell my pontoon when I bring it back here at the end of the month. Not sure.

The trolling motor holds very well. Auto deploys and stows. Has built in transducer as well. has both remote control and foot control.
