Well...After 4 straight 60-ish + bass trips in October, the bite has slowed way down. Only got 19 fish today & had to work really hard for those. Water temp is down to 68-72 degrees & the lake level continues to drop a little each week . Tried for both bass & bluegill today and actually found 2 small gils hiding in the timber. I think there are more in there, but get hung up constantly fishing the drop shot. Bass were caught on swimbaits & the gils on Gulp Alive minnows. Talked to a guy at the ramp that said he caught around a dozen bass all day as well. Still, real nice weather & love being in the Great Outdoors... [Linked Image]

Thanks for the report Steve. Your 19 would be a great day for most of the rest of us! Like you said, beautiful day just to be fishing. Glad you had good day and a safe trip back home.

Maybe you need to try a slip bobber and keep it off of the bottom so you wont hang up as much.

You got some nice weight there! Congrats! Same thing in NY - seasonal slow down in water around 49 degrees. Sporadic locations and patterns.
