Definitely, but also speed matters for top plainning boats like bass boats. When I ran my Ranger bass boat at 35+ mph, the wake wasn't much; slow the boat to 15mph and big wake. Fortunately in the lakes I fish that allow gas motors, fishing boaters are considerate. Not so much pleasure boats - especially pulling skiers.  This has been my experience also.

Of course I slow down (all the way to idle depending on circumstances) as do all thinking anglers. But congratulations on posting something that will get plenty of comments. The question is will it get very many views? I'm still skeptical of your motives. My channel is not monetized, so that can't be a motive. My motive is good fishing and boating content so I can sneak in an occasional word for Jesus. Views for that video have been above expectations, at about 5000 across my three platforms (Facebook, YouTube, BitChute). That video had the additional motives of encouraging folks to slow down and giving kudos to the guy who did while I was reeling in my biggest striper this month.

always, because at Fork even if they are in the boat lane you are never sure where the wood starts away from the buoy line.

That didn't appear to be that tight of a spot so I would've continued since being on plane creates a small wake... No say if the width is less than 75 ft then I'll slow down unless waved through... Dan
