Does any graph manufacturer have an easier to read display in sunlight than the others? Saw a Garmin hype claiming improved sunlight readability. Anyone have experience with the latest versions?

Like Steez says the Lowrance are good in sunlight as long as they are on a bracket to tilt them a little bit. Not only that they have great memory and will hold 4 of my lake Chips. Humminbirds have very little memory and will only hold one lake chip with 200 WayPoints. You will be downloading to a blank SD card and or deleating to put in the next lake you are going to.

Steez is spot on, the Carbon series is the best I’ve ever owned.

If Garmin is claiming that, it must be on the 8*** series.

All my Lowrance units are very visible in direct sunlight.
Here is my BIG GRIPE however (not to go on a tangent . . ):
When i fish till dark, I turn the console graph brightness down so that Im not blinded on the run home. I like being able to see where Im going in the dark.
Now the next day, back in the bright sunlight . . now the screen is so dark that I cant see anything . . including the "adjust brightness" icon!!
Takes me 30 minutes to try and get the brightness level back up.

I used to have the same problem when I ran lowrance, but if I remember correctly just short press the power button a couple times to adjust the brightness back to where you can see it.

Short presses of the power button will cycle through the brightness settings. I got frustrated the first time too.
