I'm not a huge fan of his (he's slowly growing on me) but interesting to see him move back to the Elites, especially since he still owns part of MLF.

Met him at TTBC...nice guy and wish him well. One of the greatest Classic memories is Ike and the dog!

He took the hard road back and did not accept any kind of special exemptions.

He said that Beartrap would be disappointed to see how many “stars” bailed on the BPT. believe it or not,I'm really neutral on this, enjoy watching both BASS and MLF and hope they both succeed.....not a big fan of Ike's "it's a giant" antics but everything I've read or heard about ike is favorable especailly his willingness to talk to kids.....not sure why all the criticism of Duckett and founders of MLF....high school and college fishing is growing at a phenominal rate and MLF with their huge increase in TV exposure is going to provide far more opportunities for young guys to make a living at professional fishing.......incidentally 95% of the original founders of MLF still believe in their concept...

It's a good thing that Ike went back to BASS, shows both leagues are viable and have their positives.
I think you will see more MLFFLWBPT pros fishing singular divisions to try and qualify that way now like Ike did as long as schedules work. Doing all 9 opens is BRUTAL

I watched Ike live in its entirety last night. I was never a big Ike fan just based on his crazy on the water antics, but hearing him talk about what went into the decision and how he put his family above all else was pretty cool. My opinion on him has definitely changed. Seems like he has a lot of drive to succeed left in the tank. Hope he does well.
