My granddaughter and I walked down to the river today and on the walk back home we saw this pink caterpillar. I have never seen one. All I could find was the color may be associated with a diet of fall colored leaves and/or getting ready to pupate.

All I could find was the color may be associated with a diet of fall colored leaves and/or getting ready to pupate. It's diet Could be the reason for its pretty salmon color, but what kind of caterpillar is it
