Cold fronts are the worst. At least for many but as usual not for all. We all had our winter wear on for the expected 40's all day long. But the promised cloud cover all day long lasted until around 9 AM. And it appears part of the lake is still turning over.
In the semi-final the top ten boaters and top ten co-anglers fished to see who will qualify for the final in two weeks. All the men listed here qualified for the final even me who just squeaked in.
This morning a section was drawn to decide where we will be fishing. All fish 10" and larger are considered keepers. MLF Format all keepers count towards your total weight.

We fished section 1 today,

Boaters

1st Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 13 bass for 18.37 LB with a lunker of 2.25 LB. .
2nd Gary Pardini of Tyler with 6 bass for 11.46 LB. with the boater lunker of 5.94 LB
3rd Jack White of Farmers Branch with 5 bass for 10.98 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker.
4th Randy Bunch of Lake Fork with 10 bass for 9.16 LB with a lunker of 1.58 LB
5th Burt Roan of Emory with 3 for 8.85 with a lunker of 4.87 LB

Co Anglers

1st Jimmy Bright of Frisco with 4 bass for 4.97 with a 2.13 LB lunker
2nd Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 2 bass for 3.98 LB with the co-angler lunker of 2.61 LB.
3rd Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 2 fish for 3.26 LB with a 2.19 LB lunker
4th Alf Tuggle of Cypress Springs with 3 bass for 3.25 LB with a 1.37 LB lunker.
5th Bruce Allen of Emory with 3 bass for 2.37 LB with a 1.00 LB lunker.

65 bass were caught, and 2 anglers were skunked.

Section 1 is all of Big Caney from an imaginary line from the east side of the dam to the point of Little Caney. Section 2 runs from that line to the south side of the FM 515 bridge but not under the bridge.
Section 3 is from under that bridge to everything north of there. Each section is about 9000 acres.
