I'm going to pray for the Braves to lose. We'll have a friendly contest of which of of us carries more favor with God.

Reminds me of the January 1, 1979 Sugar Bowl - #1 Penn State vs #2 Alabama for the national title. Late in the game, Alabama up 14-7, Penn State with the ball - 4th and goal from just inches away. Joe Paterno prayed for an answer of what play to run. God told him to give the ball to Mike Guman and have him dive over the line up the middle. The ball was snapped and Guman took the ball and dove up the middle. But Barry Krauss, linebacker for Alabama, met him squarely in the hole, driving him back, and preserving the 14-7 victory and National Championship for Alabama.

Paterno looked up to heaven and said "God - why did you tell me to run that play?" God said "I don't know - Bear, why'd we tell him to run that play?" roflmao

Could be. Reminds me of the Bible verse, "He who puts on his armor should not boast like he who takes it off."

My goal in prayer was for God to replace Atlanta's lost blessing and revenue from MLB moving the all star game. Mission accomplished.

I grew up an Astros fan in SWLA, and my first MLB game was the Astros in the Astrodome, so I'd be happy to see the Astros win, and I'm certainly very pleased with both Houston and Atlanta being blessed in hosting the World Series.

I'm not sure if WINNING the World Series would really bless a host city as much as HOSTING it. Sometimes, things go south after a championship. I'm rooting, but not praying for a specific outcome.

God bless Texas, which has been a big blessing to me in my life.
God bless Georgia, which has been a big blessing to my family also.

Looks like the Braves won. Maybe next year for the Astros. The Astros look more like a dynasty, the Braves more of a one hit wonder. But congrats.
