Going to fish this cooler weather this month.
Anyone have a bait of choice in November, besides jig, square bill, and A rig?

Jerkbait, drop shot, rattle traps, and swim jigs.
Others stated a few as well.

Varies by the conditions of the day but all baits listed above will catch them.. on the windy days. A trap, swim jig and chatter bait. Seams to be windy a lot in the fall.

I am a buzz bait guy as long as the water is above about 50. Shad imitators as others have stated...

Fall can be a magical time of year on the water. Fish the way you are most comfortable and think "shallow" and back in creeks. I caught a 10 pound bass on Rayburn one fall morning on a Smithwick Rogue casting near the shoreline not far from Mill Creek Ramp. Rest of day caught them on wacky worm and spinnerbait shallow.

Ott and Wheeler both posted videos on their Youtube channels about this subject. Ott likes a walking top water, finesse jig, rattle bait and his little flat side Tiny. Wheeler couldn't nail it down to 4 but similar things.. walking topwater, jerk bait with a feather treble on the back, Rapala OG Slim, 3" swim bait on a jig head. I'm still getting bit, albeit small fish on drop shot.. Zoom finesse worm. Pond dams have been the best location for me.

100% depends on where you live and what body of water you are fishing. If a client books a trip with me in November on Sam Rayburn, I tell them to bring 4 rods, Ive got plenty of tackle and baits. We need rods to:
Deep crank
Carolina Rig
Spoon/Tailspin
Dropshot/Ned
If you book a trip from mid April-February, I'm going to tell you to bring the exact same things because we are going to be offshore and it is more about finding the fish and where to throw the bait, not a magic lure. In November, our catch numbers can get absolutely ridiculous. A guy beating the bank or fishing shallow, not nearly as good.

I am not in Sam Rayburn but trying to apply this in central Texas lakes.
