They are just a sheet of 6mm recycled plastic withe grooves cut to fold, very clever design, only cost $350

I don't see myself ever getting in one of those. They might be fine but they seem cheap and fragile. I would get an inflatable before I got that folding kayak.

Watch a couple of videos called Fishaholicboy on YouTube. In particular Halloween camping with Tucktec. You will be surprised at the weight they carry and the water conditions these guys ride in. I can assure you these kayaks are not flimsy and are tough. An inflatable is likely to puncture. These kayaks are short but have a rudder and track better than you might think. The seats suck but a stadium seat is easily inserted.

I wouldn't consider a foldable kayak. If you are wanting compact storage, I would look at something like a Mercury Modular. They are not cheap, but it's a clever design and they appear to be well made.

Folding boats have been around for a long time. I remember hearing about hikers and mountain climbers using folding type boats as far back as the 80's. Not everyone can store or carry a typical kayak or canoe. Are there gonna be more durable, faster etc options,,,sure but for people who's situation permits it looks like an option.

I haven't seen one but did see a Point 65, Tequila years ago. Think I'd rather stack my kayak than fold it up... either way, I'd definitely drink some before buying either one.
