I have mixed emotions about this topic. I have caught a hundred fish off that hump but if you're sitting in the "Boat Lane" well....

The wakes are what trigger the bites, not a whole lot of vessels on Fork that , "throw a big wake on you."
Bell hump used to be a great spot before the white privilege

Tawakoni should be nice and calm right about now. Tawakoni wouldn't be calm with all the "ludes" in Hunt county!

Fishing a tournament in the early 2000's on Rayburn, I was in Coleman and had to make weigh-in at Powell. While in Coleman the wind picked-up from the south at about 35-40 MPH. I made the turn onto the main lake and said "OH sh**". I really can't judge wave height but I had a 19 foot BassCat Pantera II and I would hit the bottom of one wave and be looking up at the next wave. Took two completely over the bow that filled the cockpit. Bilge pump running the whole time. Made it back fine but remembered saying to myself. "I need to get a bigger boat"!
That tournament was had a 1:00 weigh-in and a second weigh-in at 6. At the the lunch weigh-in I asked my partner where he wanted to fish in the afternoon. He said well we were catching fish back in Coleman whey don't we go back? The wind had actually got a little stronger. I asked him "Are you crazy?"
A few week later I sold my Pantera and bought a longer Cougar.
