Some have been lucky to get the Mega Live units already but I'm still waiting here at the shop to recieve any and who knows when that'll be, but here is a comparison of the 2 systems.

I've seen some videos. Livescope is way clearer. The Mega Live reminds me of the older livescope transducer

They look the same to me. I have Garmin right now and plan to keep it, but the Humminbird looks fine.

Garmin for the win! I’d like to see my Active Target along side those two. I bet my AT SUCKS compared to either of them. I feel like I have wasted money on AT.

From the video's I've seen its a tossup between AT and LS both very close to one another

For most anglers that bass fish, the 360 mega is a much more useful tool. IMO. Livescope for bass is a skill that takes a time to develop,IMO. Hard for a lot of the weekenders to get proficient with LS when targeting bass.

Now crappie fishing is like shooting fish in a barrel, IMO.

Garmin has both competing brands beat by a long shot with their technology of forward facing sonar. I've seen AT and Livescope both and there is an obvious winner between the two.

I’d have to see if the mega has the LS ghost tree dead zone before I could say that one is better. I’d also like to see the mega on a brush pile. Mega does look pretty good so far though, from the videos I’ve seen.

The AT doesn’t look too great when viewing brush, shows fish fine though.

That is weird. I really like my Active Target. It has good detail but a buddy of mine that has one set it up for me.

Garmin has proven itself well at 70’+ forward facing. That’ll be the determining factor whether HB Live can perform as well. All the pics I’ve seen are set showing fish out about 30’. That doesn’t impress me.

My only complaint on my LS is that dead zone that is always there no matter the settings.
