Since when? I head toward the buoy near the bridge then follow the others out of big mustang on plane. No issues at all.

Do you run on pad from popes to the 1st buoy? Because that's what he is talking about

After I launch the boat at the ramp I will head toward the bridge at idle until the engine is at operating temp. then I run on pad to the first buoy by the bridge and then head out to the lake. Never had an issue doing that.

We had a big group at Fork over the weekend, it’s definitely fishing tough by Fork standards. If everything that blew up or rolled on a bait connected it could have been awesome. The fish were where they’re supposed to be just really tough to make bite. Had some good slots and a chance at a big one, not a bad result from any normal lake just a little off for Fork. Should only get better once this warming trend gets out of here.

Never let your guard down. The moment your concentration waivers is when the biggest bass has you've ever seen will take your offering, give a big swirl, pop your line & be gone, leaving you in a crumbled mass of humility, disbelief, sadness.

Man we had a rough trip. Fished for about 2 hrs and caught 1 bass the size of a sunfish and then accidentally ran into a stump with the trolling motor and snapped it in half. Must have hit just perfect. Felt like a pretty big dumb [censored]. Saw a lot of fish moving on top but could not generate a bite. Watched three other boats get skunked.

LOL...indeed! Or take your big crankbait, swim right at you like a 2 pounder than come up about 4 feet from the boat and what look to be the cousin to Jonah's whale do a little head shake and ...GONE.

We had zero problems finding grass to fish, found some in 7ft of water with 3 ft over the top of it, and some SERIOUS mats. Maybe not as much as some years but still a ton of hydrilla in Fork. Also found lots of pondweed, coon tail, and pads. Keep on looking… it’s there!

It’s not hard to find. The problem is that 90% of the grass is in 10% of the lake.
