Well, this October will officially go down as my best ever on FCL. Fished from daybreak until 4:30. The period from 3 pm until 4:30 was absolutely on fire. Caught almost half of my fish in that time frame. Ended the day yesterday with 1 catfish, 1 tilapia & 61 bass. Overall not as many big fish as last week, but did get 1 over 5 pounds. Water temp was in the low to mid 80s and the lake level was at 390.56 MSL(full pool 391). Doc was planning to go, but had to cancel. The Pelicans have made their return, which means that winter is not far off. All fish caught in around 10 feet of water on 2 different 3" swimbaits...one made by Storm & the other by Tsunami. Bass are feeding heavily on shad right now also fattening up for winter. All fish released to fight another day...

I saw you out there yesterday, You are right, the bass have gone on a big feed. My last two trips have been very productive. I fished from 8 to 1 and caught 23 fish up to 4-1. Only 6 fish were underslot fish. Caught all but one on plastic worm, the last fish was on a new Ned Rig bait. Broke off two really good fish on a Lake Fayette jig.

My arm would fall off catching 60 bass!
