Grandpa. He predicted every tie game in the British first division football league (the football pool) one time in the early 1980s. Equivalent of $1.5 million US dollars. He and his wife lived comfortably the rest of their lives; but never bought anything lavish or luxurious.

I know a few who have won $600-$1000 but nothing more than that.

A guy that my sister worked with won $12MM while traveling for work out of state. He worked for like 6 months after getting everything in order then retired. He was around 30 years old.

Wonder how it's going for him nowadays. Winning the lottery ruins a lot of peoples lives.

I worked with a guy that won the "Weekly Grand". He sued to get the money as a lump sum and within a year was bankrupt and had the IRS on him. He got killed in a car wreck.

A friend from high school won 4 million. He kept working until taking a slightly early retirement from the post office.
