I'm not sure it's considered a surgery, but I'm having a Laser Lithotripsy tomorrow morning. It's a procedure to break apart a kidney stone in the urinary tract. It is done with a scope that can be passed into the tubes of the urinary tract so Incisions are not needed. The laser breaks the kidney stones into smaller pieces that my surgeon will capture in a "tiny basket" and all the remaining smaller pieces and "dust" will pass normally.

I had to have one of these three years ago and it is almost always 100% successful.

Think of me and all that fun I'll be having while you folks are wasting time on the TFF!!

Laser treatment is state of the art, a small caterer with the laser is inserted in the urethra and through the bladder and up the ureter finally arriving at the kidney. The skill comes into play when the doc delivers the laser right to the stone. I have no doubt these guys were stellar at video games.

I just had a " blu light " therapy done at the Doc's earlier today --- talk about intense . I waited the full 90 minutes after they applied the Levulan so I could get a deep burn to remove all the AK's .
I have done this procedure before ---but only maxed at 60 minutes --- this time was way more intense .
