My grandma resides near there in Y-City. Named after the split on hwy 270 and 71, lol. Gods country, so beautiful There used to be a one lane metal bridge at Y City. I think one in six people who drove over it was hit by an oncoming log truck and either burned alive or drowned in the river below.

Been several years, since I've been there.
Used to go to the bike rally every year, for years....Man that was fun...
Only advice, I can give. Is, if your driving the nice back roads, and you come
across a "No Trespassing" sign.. DON't. Cause some of them back hills folks, will
shoot first, and not ask any questions......

Talimena Drive is excellent! It’s in God’s Country. Do you expect anything, otherwise? It’s really pretty, especially when the trees start turning.

And evidently prohibitionist still run Mena. It's a BYOB county. We used to go ride dirt bikes in Mena in the fall. One year we ran into some hillbillys who told us we need to leave cause they were going deer hunting there in a couple days. Next thing you know the guy with no front teeth asked us if we wanted to buy some shine. We did and headed back to camp. Only time I have ever bought liquor out in the middle of no where.

Chopping block in mena is pretty legit, we always stayed in a cabin in hatfield, away from the tourist.. there is forestry roads all the wAy from Hatfield to wolf pen so you can just ride there instead of trailering
