Headed back next month and so looking forward to it. Last November the lake was 25% full, it’s 60% now. We caught a load of big fish and hope to replicate rhat thiss year. Love Los Toreones lodge.

Yep... Los Toreones is where it's at. Lodging accommodations are on par with the fishing.

Just returned from 4 days fishing with Pro Bass Adventures. VERY hot & humid!!! Fish count down but most fish were in the 5 to 8 lb. range. Lake in good condition, up 75' from my last trip end of April.
Top baits: a.m. Top water mega bass Pop Max. Only a couple fish each morning but all were 5 lbs plus. LONG pauses between pops! Most action was on weightless mag flukes. Rattle traps
Rest of day: 3/8 oz. swing head with TRD trailer. 6" swim baits all worked slow. 6XD's cranks.

I always used Lake Baccarac Lodge. I am a little surprised to see all the recs for Carlos' lodge. Prices are similar (high), lodge seems a lot nicer at Baccarac Lodge but Carlos' place has bass boats. Does that sum up the differences?

Lake Baccarac lodge looks beautiful, but fishing out of a 16 foot aluminum boat and not having real bass boats are a complete deal breaker. I’ve spent a full month at Baccarac over the past two years, It’s like taking a time machine back to falcon prime. Hard to describe how perfect that place is.
