Plenty of water tight hull pass through stuff for electrical cables but I don't see much for paracord or metal cables. I know certain kayaks have tension cable pass through stuff. Any ideas?

At Home Depot.
Incredibly strong, thin, and slick line.
Much cheaper than the Hobie brand.

I'm guessing because those types of cords/cables really aren't possible to waterproof. Paracord will hold/wick moisture and metal cables are typically stranded/twisted so it would be hard to create a watertight seal. What is your application?

You get out of it what you put into it!

Nothing specific as of yet. I waited a season to heavily modify my kayak and now I'm making plans. When I was shopping for a kayak I remember seeing Hobie or Old Town kayaks with internal rigging of things like rudders etc... I might like to do something like that but can't remember what products those kayaks used.

To keep a stainless cable from "sawing " a slot where it enters my kayak(rudder pedal cable pass-throughs, etc,), I use a stainless or aluminum pop rivet that the cable can pass thru. I knock the nail out of the pop rivet and glue it to the kayak with JB Weld or other epoxy. For 1/8" cable, a 3/16 pop rivet will work. For 1/16 cable, a 1/8" pop rivet will usually do. I have never had any problems with that system. Good luck! IslandJim

Very resourceful solution. I'll keep that in mind if I go that route.
