 Personal Best Catfish... from my neighborhood pond! Is it a Channel?

I've received different opinions about this catch. When I first landed it, I immediately thought yellow cat because of it's color and because it didn't have the grayish color I'm used to seeing from smaller channels. But after comparing the fork in the tails from pictures of both, I'm leaning channel. Years ago, my brother and I fished some local neighborhood ponds in Frisco. Your picture looks familiar. I remember when my brother caught a 21 lb channel off a piece of Bar S hotdog wienie. This was back when Prosper was just a wide spot in the road north of Frisco. Those were good times. Congratulations on your catch.
He is truly a sick individual.

Older channels change color and lose the black spots.
