Just switched to all Garmin. The GT56 transducer and equivalent are top notch on the units. Only had a day with the force but it is noticeably quieter. Loved the ultrex but changed trolling motors when I changed graphs. No complaints so far. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM

I would choose what goes with your graphs. I have Lowrance electronics and went with the Ghost T/M and love it.

I had the ultrex on my last boat and went with a force on my new boat and I like the force alot more. The power is insane! Nearly silent and love the wireless foot pedal and don't have to worry about cables hitting my graphs. Super light to deploy and stow. And I've never seen the battery light go less then green after a windy day of fishing due to the brushless motor.

Only issue I've had is with some bushings and after a 5 min call to garmin had new bushings in 2 days! Garmin support is top notch!

The only thing I've seen that the ultrex would do that my force won't is follow contours even with a Garmin graph, but software updates are happening pretty regularly.

Ultrex has the better foot pedal and spot lock. Other than that every other category Garmin dominates and it should it's newer.
