Anybody know how the grass/vegetation is on this lake? Never been there before and I thought I heard there was a recent tpwd spray done? Any tips or recent results from your recent outings? (Never been there before and hope to go in a few weeks). Thanks in advance!

I was out there last week for the first time. Love the lake. Can't wait to hit it again. We found grass on the west bank on the east side of Tanglewood Island.

Good luck.

Can anyone recommend a cabin or hotel nearby to stay over a weekend? No camping or RV spots, please.

Be safe,

Village Inn is on the lake and has several cabins to rent. There’s hotels in Breckinridge and one across from the public ramp at the Hwy 180 ramp. I’d stay at Village Inn.

My cabins are booked this weekend but I normally have the cabin or bunkhouse available. 10 minutes from the Hwy 180 boat ramp. Safe and secure with covered boat parking.

Some good places on the island on Airbnb. Stompy is great as well. Village inn is great with the private ramp but houses are pricey if you can’t do the hotel

Ridge Motel in town. They remolded the place not bad now looks good but went up in price believe $103 a nite from $60-70 but everything new in rooms better than before. Has plug in for electric around the pool area for boats.
