I have an app called Nautide and there's a site on the net of the same name. It gives a lot of valuable info such as weather forecast, hi/lo tide times, tidal coefficients, moon status as well as transit times, times for major and minor fish activity, barometric pressures, surf and wind conditions and more. The times of major and minor fish activity are based on lunar transits and moon rise and moonsets and to some extent tidal coefficients. These times and occur at various times of the night and day. I have fished these times on a few trips and have concluded that that actually do not correspond to actual times of the fish feeding. That is, I do not do any better during those times compared to others. I have found the best conditions to be early morning/late evening, wind direction and tidal movement to be the most reliable. I'd like to hear other's take on this. Thanks.

That's kinda the way I look at it. But I have not seen any kind of pattern between the "fish activity" forecast and what happens on the water.

i've not found any factors that attributed 100% to fish biting.

I don't know what formula that app uses to make their predictions, but I spent a number of years in the late 80's and early 90's checking the accuracy of the Solunar Tables that were published in Bassmaster magazine. My findings were this - If the fish were biting, I usually caught more and bigger fish during the predicted best times. If the fish weren't biting, they didn't magically start biting at those times. I also did a lot of predator hunting, and I found a similar correlation there. I'd see more activity, as in more critters responding to my call, during the peak times. I also tested it against deer movement and found NO correlation. Just my $0.02 worth.
