Hey everyone,

I have been using the Abu Garcia Revos for quite some time now and have noticed the latest generation handle is larger than the older ones. I cant stand switching to a different sized reel handle over and over. Is there a company out there that I can order from that are of good quality and wont break the bank?

Thanks in advance!

See if you can order replacement handles in the size you like directly from Abu.

I have used Hawg Tech for years. Fantastic quality and the best customer service.

Academy sells an H20 brand that fits Abu’s perfectly and are the larger handle with decent grips for $20. I’ve had one on a Revo for a couple of years and it’s held up well. Best to order them online since they never seem to have them in stock at my store.

Amazon has some ranging from $13 to $25, but I have never tried any of these so I can’t attest for their quality.

Abu replacements in the larger size are around $50.

I hate the short handle too! Pulled two longer handles off some old Academy Mettle reels and they were a perfect fit.

There are a ton of replacement handles on Ebay for super cheap. I have bought several "brands" because they are cheap enough to throw away if you don't like them. I have never had a problem with any of them. I buy for the opposite reason, I think too many of the handles are too small. I like more distance between the knobs. FYI, Shimano uses a bit of a different size stem so be sure to order for the reel type you have. I believe Abu uses the standard that always fits Diawa, Lews, etc.
