I finally caught some fish in this river- but they were small bluegill. Saw a couple OK sized splashes, not sure exactly what they were. Overall this is a decent place for walking for horrible for fishing. I talked to one guy there that said he's been trying to catch a fish there for a year and still hasn't caught any. Don't go here for fishing!!

I'm planning to go down to lake Corpus Sunday, but I may not make it, I have a hot date Saturday.

Carl, you might try the Cibolo Creek, on River Road here in Boerne. I don’t know how much your little boat weighs, but you can park fairly close to the creek and drag it down to the water. Should be pretty good fishing. Has to be better than 75% of the places that you’ve gone too so far.

We’re gonna need pics of “hot date” for confirmation.

When they opened the River Walk for kayak tours recently I caught almost a dozen good bass smack in the middle of downtown. It's better than you think.
