Drove one, I'm 6'5" and it beat the heck out of my knees against the dash. It was an older diesel model and was slow as a turtle too. I'm sure they are quicker now.

We had 3 one diesel and two gas motors. We had a lot of trouble with the fuel system on the diesel. One of the gas ones would just run great and then just quit. We went thru the fuel system and that didn’t fix it. Turned out to be something in the ignition getting hot and shutting off. The part was $300. After that we sold it and got a Kawasaki Mule

We are Polaris Ranger fans here. Rarely let us down.
Finding a proper price is a challenge with all of them.

The new ones are plastic junk . We have a old 2002 HPX 4x4 that we use evryday in the plants and rock quarr'y we service . It has almost 2000 hours on it and runs like a dream . It has the Kawasaki motor also . They are just like evrything else that you use , we maintane it on a reguler basis . And yes parts are high , but you can get the J D part number and find them on Amazon most of the time . I also have a Kawasaki Mule at our lake house and love it also , but not near the leg room the gator has . Same motor but air cooled and all I have done to it is rebuilt the carb .

Forgot to add that for a while our plants that always used Gators decided to try other brands from the cheapest to the high end . They ended up having a big scrap company come and haul them off and went back to Gators . Mine doing what it does every day . [Linked Image]

Why because they are slower?

The John Deere XUV's are awesome machines. Put over 9000 miles on mine before trading in for a Can Am. The John Deere UTV's are the most uncomfortable machines made.
