Key here is communication when possible, asking usually takes away any issues.

This exactly...

When I feel I'm encroaching on someone's space, I'll holler over and talk to them prior. Don't want to end in fisticuffs for fishing. Not worth it.

It happens so often now I have just started taking a different approach. I usually strike up a conversation like "y'all go ahead I am just fishing for fun" or something along those lines. I usually end up talking with them for another 10 minutes or so while we fish the same water together and in most cases we are both just out doing what we love to do. The difference in my new approach lately has made all the difference for me.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I'm actually glad that I'm boatless now because of the idiots out on the lakes. I don't have to worry about whoopin' somebody's.....I mean dealing with the stupidity. Gonna be nice to fish private tank for a couple of years. I eventually will get another boat, but for now it's nice not having one. Ain't got time to fish, anyways!

We saw a great verbal confrontation on Bob Sandlin this past Saturday morning. Boat was working a rock corner all morning, and another one came in tried to sneak in behind it on the corner.. blew up pretty good. Partner and I were laughing at the chaos. They should have known better, they are seasoned anglers. One reason I love fishing away from the crowds. I hate community spots.

You should see it from a mods view…. Some might said truer words have not been spoken.
