But it’s not 100% guaranteed that you still won’t die. I know some of you find that hard to believe, but some people have been fully vaccinated and still died.

I’m tired of the push from both sides, truth is people will die no matter what.

Nor are they allowing for natural immunity.

That’s worked out for some and not so well for others. We just need to let people make their own decisions and quit trying to force everyone to “be like them”. I don’t want to be a goofball like CarlDoNothing.

99.78% odds of being fine is a nationwide average pumped up by 100 million youths who are almost completely unimpacted. Odds are, you are not average. News flash, most of you on this forum are old. Most of you are clinically overweight. Many have high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, etc...

The vaccine has been injected into billions of people across the globe. It's safe and effective at minimizing the risk of sever disease.

If you want the vaccine it, get it. If you don't, don't. Stop trying to convince folks COVID is no big deal though. For many people it's downright nasty.

What happened to the lady they vaccinated on tv that passed out. Any thoughts on that, did she live, die, they kept that pretty quiet.

Being real is not fear mongering. For many people, particularly older folks with some health issues (which is many people on this forum) getting COVID can be downright nasty.

Even if I were fear mongering, which I'm not, telling everyone they have nothing to worry about is just as bad if not worse. Talking in absolutes is rarely reflective of reality. Do whatever you want, I 100% do not care. And for the record, I support Abbot on this call. No mandates.

Just to reinforce my OP, this was about an executive order about forced COVID "vaccination" as a condition of employment being nullified.

Religious exemptions were offered by this employer who is one of the nation's largest hospital corporations. With 80% (most) of those in my wife's department not being poked they almost all put in for a religious exemption, via an on-line form, to be exempted from forced "vaccination" with one of the 3 products offered out there right now.

Everyone in the department was granted an exemption except my wife, the surgical scheduler, and an anesthesiologist. These 3 are the most devout by far. all regular church goers, the scheduler engaged to a pastor, my wife gets up daily before me usually and reads and studies her Bible while trying to live by its precepts.

Many of those given a religious exemption have darkened the doorstep of a church in years, act like heathens, and used the religious "out" as they thought it was there best chance to be exempted.

My wife just wants the freedom of not having her body violated by a substance she is in disfavor of. She will tale the non-mRNA when it is available.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

It's pretty safe unless you are one of the 8,000 that have died from the jab.

The vaccine is not without risk. I can't think of any substance, short of maybe water, that you could give to billions of people and not have some have a bad reaction. The math is pretty clear the vaccine is safer for most folks than going head on against COVID with no protection. Mileage will vary by the individual. My only argument here is peoples risk/reward math is off in many cases. Perhaps for you it is not. Your choice, I 100% support that.

I’ll take these odds any day to prevent getting Covid.

“ Since December 2020, more than 350 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the U.S., and VAERS has received 6,968 reports of death (0.0019%), according to the CDC. (Numbers as of Aug. 26, 2021.)

I'm fairly certain you would love mandates.

I'm fairly certain you don't know me and never will. I've thought about it and carefully considered the pros and cons and do not support vaccine mandates. Not that my opinion matters on this subject. I've got to catch a flight so I'm out on the rest of this one gents.

I dont like business being caught in the middle, first you have a federal mandate that falls on bussines, now you have a state EO that falls on business. I kind of like the good old right to work deal. Government should just take their tax money from business and stfu. That's where I come down on this.

A good risk assessment will look at a sub group of the masses rather than the masses as a whole. JPurdue makes a rational argument. Too bad so many cannot rationally argue against him. There may be a rational argument, but so far none have surfaced here.

That is a BS propaganda number. Even the CDC table that shows it explains that this number includes EVERY person that has died within 6 months of getting the shot regardless of cause of death.

I don’t care if someone else gets the vaccination or not but get tired of all of the lying BS like this on both sides.
