What happened to G rods. Wanted to try one a couple years ago when they were new and all the rage. Did they not live up to the hype?

From what I understand, they were unable to get their blanks in stock once Covid hit. They had a hard time meeting demand even before that. Initially, I heard they were calling it quits but that's changed as well. I personally love my G-Rods. I have 3 six footers, 3 seven footers, one eight foot, and one 10 foot. Laner on here has more accurate info as he was/is a dealer.

The 7’ was pretty sweet! Broke both mine and they’ve since been replaced with Jenko Trick Sticks!! Hate they went by the wayside. They were a sweet rod! thumb

I think there were a number of issues as to why they are not currently being made at this time, but I hope the company can regroup and come back stronger than ever. Whether it be freshwater or saltwater, I can honestly say I've never fished with a finer rod. I wouldn't have sold them if I didn't think they were the best.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I’m looking for a new rod but seems like COVID effected a lot of big rod companies. Wanted to either get a g rod or st. Croix panfish rod.
