Is it just me or is Lake Lewisville just a pain in the rear end?

It certainly has its moments. It is fishing fairly good now and will get better as the water cools down.

I used to fish that lake way too much 40 years ago. Haven’t been back since.

It's terrible! Ray Roberts or Grapevine are way better, don't waste your time on Lousyville!

This sounds like my home lake (LAKE WACO). One out of dozen trips you get a good day with good size of fish, the rest of the time a bunch of very small or none.

Waco is miles ahead of Loserville, it actually was quite fantastic when they raised the pool in the 2000's but it is started to get back to its pre-2000's tougher largemouth fishing.

Well I am glad to see it isn’t just me..to tell you the truth my opinion of that lake isn’t the best in the world.

It just adds volumes to the KVD legend that he was able to catch a near sharelunker there and during a tournament to boot

Lewisville Lake is as good as any around the D/FW Metroplex. The amount of pleasure traffic and fishing pressure makes it challenging tho. There's certainly big fish to be had if you work for them or get lucky & find someone's brush pile/attractor. My previous post about it being terrible was made tongue in cheek. Hiring a guide to show you a little about her will shorten your learning curve & frustrations. Good luck, be safe, have fun.

It's my home lake and it has good and bad days like most. But I feel like each time i go out i have a chance of catching something over 8lbs. I'd take Lewisville over any other lake in DFW.

Yep, it’s just you! …….OK, that’s not true. Lake sucks almost always.

I have come around on Lewisville. I actually enjoy fishing it when the pleasure boats arent too thick. I try to avoid it during the summer.
