Looking at a 2000 Champion 203 with a 225 Merc that has 177 hrs on it. This boat is in literal mint condition. The guy that owns it is obviously extremely meticulous. Comes with a Motorguide Beast 107 Trolling Motor and an HDS7 at the console. I wanted to get some opinions on what this thing is worth. They are asking 20k.

What year is the motor? 177 hours is just two years average use.

It's a 20 year old boat, so check the transom for intrusion, especially around motor mounts and fittings.

Champs are at a premium right now, so 20K for a gem is about market value for that boat/motor.

I believe its the same year as the boat. Wish it had better electronics and trolling motor. I'm planning to go take a look at her tomorrow. Thanks for the reply

I have a 2004 203 with a Merc 250 and 220 hours in really great condition so they are around. With the price of new boats I would not consider $20000 They are great hulls and increasingly rare to find one. Good luck and hope it works out for you.

Why would I? Runs like a molested monkey and been in a covered garage her whole life. At 72 my wife might consider it after I kick the bucket.

I think he meant to say he wouldn't consider a 20K offer for it.

What year did Champion get away from wood? I know it was later then 2000 on bays. 2 neighbors have or had them. I know one did transom work but boat was not well maintained. With proper maintenance the transom should be fine.
