If this lake had been closer to our house, we probably would have changed our game plan. But, since it was so far away and we didn’t have any leads on any neighboring water, we stuck it out and just tried to be problem solvers. Well, it definitely started out slow for both of us, but Sunny K started to figure things out and then I did. By the end we had a solid pattern that worked for us on this water and should work for us on these types of lake until the cold starts killing off the vegetation! Perseverance pays off in the end! Was banging a wall off a point that looked reeaal good, ran my crank down to about 3' and got snagged. Fair enough, trolled over to get my lure and low and behold, pulled up some carpeting. Don't know if the owners threw it out just because or put it there on purpose, but it took a min to get my lure cut out. LOL

We appreciate it, Leo! We were really excited about the super clarity of the water until we figured out that the whole thing was basically choked with hydrilla. I'll have to see what its like in Spring before the weeds take over again.

Saw that on Lake Austin once near where the dock owner obviously wanted to rope off for his personal swim area. I was able to pull it up and it had a few baits on it. I cannot imagine stepping on that, getting stuck to the bait and the carpet at the same time.
