Fish are spread out at all depths in all our North Texas lakes right now as we are heading into the fall transition. You can catch fish all over the lake but I usually look in the top 1/3rd as lots of bait and fish migrate north and will stage in home zones waiting for the cool fall rains to flow into the creeks. Main channels with intersecting channels and the flats next to them in 10-25 ft is a good depth to target this pattern. You can catch fish all over really but if you can locate these staging areas you can fill the boat.

There is a fine line between fishing and floating around like an idiot!!
