Houston Methodist mandated vaccine 150 quit out of 25,000. That is .6%, not close to 10% refusal.

the problem is that Hosptials are all ready short in staffing and if a 150 quite they are in trouble.. Right now most nurses want to be travel nusres because it pays a whole lot more tha a regular gig.. Some nurses that travel make $300,000 a year..

Covid "survivor" here. It sucked... Bad. But here I am, and still will choose not to get the vaccine.

Maybe if they'd stop handing incentives to get it then I'd consider. But there's something they've got going on with it when they want to give out money and tickets to sports games if you get the vaccine. There's something wrong.

It doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong with the vaccine because people were hesitant to get the vaccine. That cause and effect isn't based on actual facts. That's been driven by a bunch of miss information along with a new vaccine. But the vaccine has been out long enough to show its benefit over risk and is now approved by the FDA. The benefit over risk is just huge. It's not even close. Now if you just had covid recently then you aren't eligible for the vaccine. But this is something we'll all live with long term. It will be much like the flu in that you'll need a new vaccine every year. And maybe someday we have a tamiflu equivalent for covid. But right now the risk is huge. Death or long haul severe symptoms vs very very small risk of adverse reactions for the vaccine. Seems every week we lose another angler to a disease that's largely controlled if people would get the vaccine. At some point you just become numb to the stats. but the fact we've lost more on covid than we did in WWI and WWII combined is nuts. It's time to start celebrating saved lives, not one more anglers death. Breaks me heart and I didn't even know these folks. But that's somebody's daddy, husband, grand father. It's so sad.

My wife is treating people with covid daily, just like the flu, covid mutates. They have to adjust the flu shot every year trying to anticipate which version will be most prevalent, sometimes they get it right and sometimes people die from the flu because the vaccine was off. The covid variants came AFTER the shots were developed rendering the original vaccines less effective. 100% of people can get vaccinated and covid will still exist, it is a man made virus and here to stay. Go get the shot, that is fine, I did(J&J with no issues)and have not been sick while being exposed plenty, but I will also not shame anyone who has not been vaccinated, free country(kind of) their choice. Time to act like Americans, be brave, live life, love God and your neighbor and good grief stop bickering about things you can't control, kung flu is unfortunately here to stay. We ought to be hunting the inventors and those responsible for releasing it rather than in fighting about a shot! Again so sorry for any loss anyone has experienced, we have experienced the same with a close family friend!

Pretty much sums up my feelings as well...

That is some of the BS that makes me not take the shot. Everyone watches a little news and then becomes an expert telling everyone else to either accept their decision or they’re gonna die. I chose no vaccine and now I have had covid for the last 5 days. I didn’t have to hide in a hole and I am not in a hospital wishing I had been vaccinated. For me it has been equivalent to a common cold. Not everyone who gets it is going to be worse case scenario just as not everyone who got vaccinated, lived thru it. It’s a shame how many want to shame or force people to follow their will.

I do not care if you choose to get a jab or not, just like I do not care if your old lady slaps you around or not, it's not my business

Carry on
