Does anyone really believe A&M with that quarterback was the 7th best team in the country? Not even close.

I think the Hogs are about to find out that it's a little different playing a team that not only has athletes on defense, but also a QB who is above "I was pretty good in high school" level.

The guy who started the season at Texas was atrocious. The A&M QB wasn't much better.

I think the prediction will change depending of whether the quarterback is healthy.

I guess if the QB is healthy then a 21-14 score could be close, flip a coin on winner

Rice is absolutely the superior choice over both schools.

Calzada is our second string QB (not using that as an excuse because your second string QB should be ready to play.) If Haynes King was healthy, I think the game would have gone quite differently.

it all depends on the degree you are looking for, sure A&M has a great vet school, Texas has the best petroleum engineering school in the world, a top law school, and a business school, among others. Rice is a great engineering school. All three are top academic schools, but its fun to rag on one another

I understand people value different characteristics in a university. I dated a girl from Rice and she was a looker but the moment you step on campus it's an assault on people of faith. I've never been around an angrier group of students. They were the most open about their Christ hatred that I'd ever seen. I remember wanting to get out of there as it felt "safer" being in downtown Houston, as weird as that sounds. She was a good time though.

Have you ever seen the Frost bank in Austin that was designed by rice graduate architects? They designed an owl head on the outside for it. Funny as hell to me that an owl overlooks Austin

That is hysterical about the owl and no, I never realized that. Kind of like when our mascot died and it really shaped their half time show. They sure love an opportunity to be sneaky/clever.

I don't think anyone would argue that Rice is superior academically. It's the indoctrination that occurs along with that superior education that many take issue with.

But hey.... All in the name of diversity.

I think we all have a gut check coming this next weekend when Georgia lowers the boom on the Hogs. I hope I'm wrong but I don't know. Especially if the QB situation is different.
