Put fishing on hold for 10 years while my boys were growing and now they are older and into fishing as well so dad is too…..

My old 100mph set was way to large (4x) , looking for recommendations for a set. I see everything from a Magellan set for $2-250 to other sets well over $500. Help me out without breaking the bank so to say.

I've been using the Academy H20 set for 2 years now. It keeps me very dry and warm during the winter / spring rains. It's the perfect size that allows me to layer underneath without feeling suffocated.

If you don't care what it looks like; the gravel gear jacket and pants from Northern Tool are extremely water proof and warm.
The Hi Vis can be beneficial in low light conditions/fog and if fishing from smaller vessels/keyaks.

Look, you can buy whatever you want but if you want a tool that will never let you down, then you buy Simms. You don’t see guides in Alaska wearing 100mph or Huk or some other bs.. if you want to stay dry, warm and comfortable all day, then buy Simms.

I have BPS 100mph, they have been great for the last 3 years. I don’t know if they are better or worse, it is the only expensive set I have owned. They are warm and dry. I don’t care for the zipper on the zip off hood, it comes off too easy I think. Warm weather is cheap frog togs or just get wet.

I'm a Gill fan, personally. They are huge in the sailing industry and in recent years have developed lines for other activities and there are several outlets you can purchase overstock from at great prices.

I’ve bought two rain suits, Columbia and Stormr, and have been dissatisfied with both so that’s why I’m looking for recommendations

I’d just get another set of 100MPH’s in the correct size and call it done. They work. Mine are 7 years old and used A LOT, a little faded, but still work great.
