Place to get donuts when growing up? Mine was a place in North Richland Hills called Archie's. It was a small place but the donuts were always hot. Sold them as fast as they could make them. It was across Hwy 26 from the old NRH Bowling Alley. It was the end of the building and there was always a line. Archie was a great guy had that 50's look with the oiled hair & Pork Chop sideburns. Great memories & great donuts! After Archies closed it was Jack n Jill donuts up on Belknap next to the Clown Burger. Not as good as Archie's but good. I second Archies. My wife grew up not far from there and we would go on a regular basis. Unfortunately there is a Walmart grocery store there now and Archies was bought out. The new owner changed something and the donuts were never as good. He finally sold and they changed the name. Clown burger was outstanding. Unfortunately its gone now too. Clown burger in Haltom City is still open. The one on Stanley Keller & Haltom Road? I grew up right down Stanley Keller, Lived right behind what used to be the Winn Dixie (formerly Buddies) grocery store on Carol Dean Street. Loved Clown Burger & also Griff's
Reality. What a concept!

MERCY - not receiving what you deserve GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve America's MESS = God's miracle fixes I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers

Daylight Donuts in Hooker, OK. Would get a dozen coffee sticks after two-a-days morning practice and me and my buddy would scarf them down before a good nap.

Krispy Kreme. I didn't even know about Shipley's until I moved to Houston in 1978.

Before I was old enough to drive an older friend would pick me up instead of riding the bus to school. We always stopped at Bob's Donuts in Burleson for some raspberry filled or chocolate covered donuts.

When we visited Enid OK. My grandma and I would walk to winchell's donuts for breakfast. Great memories. Its still there. My daughter lived there for 5 years. It was a frequent visit. Its about 3 blocks from their house on Harrison. We'd go down the alley to Van Buren.

I had a good little run when I would go there. I would check in on the El Reno Camp and then head to Enid. Eischens Bar in Okarche for fried chicken, Winchells in Enid, and a few other local joints in the area.

Spud Nuts in San Marcos many years ago.
Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.
