Has anyone tried the hydrowave to catch stripers, If so what sounds we're you using?

I bought the hydrowave with the thump chip. Never seemed to make a difference. I would stick to a thumper and a splasher. I use my thumper all year. I don’t use my splasher anymore but it was also effective until the winter.

I sing to attract fish. They especially like Johnny Cash songs. Is that the noise I hear when I'm out on CC fishing for SB? I thought it was a bobcat dying.

I think the hydrowave is a good tool in shallow water for certain species of fish. From reports I’ve received over the years my thumpers work much better for stripers hybrids and sandbass in deeper water. I’m not saying it doesn’t work at all just that mechnical thumping is better.

Go with a mechanical, my experience with Hydrawave was not positive. Besides, you can hide the thumper under the dresser or somewhere and hit the remote when the wife is sleeping. It will get her attention.
