Fished the other day and started out South in Ledbetter area. Many fish on standing timber but caught one. Tried hand ties and many other plastic jigs but only caught one small one. Decided to move North to the river channel. When they are not biting in the South they usually are biting in the North or vice versa. Well there were more fish on standing timber than in the south but there were 4 times as many shad. Was a big competition between my jig and the shad of who wanted to be eaten more. The shad won. Finally after showing a friend of mine a few brush piles I decided to drop LS and see what is there. 13 foot of water and caught several 13-14 inchers. Was really surprised they are in that shallow of water. Surface temp was 79. The fish are in transition, there are no two ways about it. They are spread out over the entire lake and with the full moon seem to be eating at night. Plus the front we had with the hurricane I think really messed things up. Ended up with 12 in 3 hours, but it could have been worse. Was just good to be on the lake after dealing with Covid, Covid Pneumonia and the flu for the last 4 weeks. Hope this helps someone.

I am finding the same thing here. Fish are shallow and feeding well once located. Got a big front on Tuesday and it should really get things going!

Ha ha @Drycreek318, you are correct brother. Went today and it was terrible, but I had a great time just driving around fishing.
