Fished FCL from daybreak until 3:30. None of my cohorts in crime could go today, so met TomRom at the ramp & we fished side by side in our boats most of the day. Water temp started out at 89 degrees & ended up around 94. A few more boats than normal, but really not bad. Only had one area we could not fish due to a number of boats on that particular spot. I ended up with a little over 200 with a heavy Red Ear day. Fished 3 new areas today with good success. The ramp at Oak Thicket is open, but the entry road is under construction.(mostly gravel) Got checked by the Game Warden today for the 1st time in few years...good to see them out patrolling. Since the Sunfish bite got pushed back in the spring due to the cold winter, I am hoping the bite continues for an extra month this fall...we will see... [Linked Image]

Super post as always. The Master of Fayette at his best.

Side Note: What are you throwing at the bass during the fall/winter on Fayette?

Tom...My go to baits for bass on FCL are 7.5" Culprit worms in Tequila Shad color for baitcast rig & 3" Tsunami holographic swimbaits for spinning rig. Usually have 12-14 lb. test Stren flourocarbon on the baitcast reel & 8-10 lb Stren Flourocarbon on the spinning reel...hope to see you out there sometime !
