How long will a Polyethylene fuel tank last? At what point do you not trust it? It's on a 1999 G3 175 aluminum boat.

Not sure I can find a replacement, ideas are welcome.

Man I think unless it is damaged it should last forever. Are you talking one of the red ones you can remove or a built in one? Either should last. I had a G3 years ago. The tank was fine but I did have to replace the black part where the gauge and hose attached. It cracked and would leak water in. It was a 1652SC, the red plastic type 12 gal tank.

Built in tank. It doesn't seem brittle, I may just give a leak test and keep going with it.

mine is in a 95 champion, they will last forever and a day as long as nothing punctures them.

if you do need to find a replacement, these folks probably made it.

Thanks Hop, Moeller made the one that is in it but they no longer make that tank or a size that fits. Thinking I'll check it for leaks and keep using it.
