Been a while since I’ve posted a report so here it is! Haven’t been on either of theses lakes in over a month but they both spit out some fish! Didn’t take many pics either place so I’m sorry! Pines was stingy at best but when we found a good fish or 2 on a tree they bit! We fished timber and brush from 8-28’ and caught fish on all of it! JJ has fished with me several times and brought his nephew Scott this time and they had a good box of fish both days with some real hammers! We fished 1/8 oz and 1/4oz hand ties tipped with a minnow on 11’ Jenko KR rods. Most fish were 8-12’ down. If we saw a tree loaded with fish we might as well have kept moving they wouldn’t bite but one on a tree would swim 4’ off the tree to crush a jig! Shad colored and purple and chart were the ticket! If your looking for a great hand tie get with Chris at Slab Syndicate! His jigs are a work of art. Almost everything I use can be purchased from Frank at Lakeside Lure and Tackle! He’s good people and has everything you need for crappie catching at a fair price! Palestine was an instructional trip with Mr Tommy! He lives close by and was considering cutting less hay and fishing more! I think that’s a great idea! He was debating between Livescope or a spotlock TM. Texting I had told him I would probably go with the TM first but fishing he told me he was going to upgrade boats soon and we both agreed go with Livescope and move it to the new boat. We fished timber, brush, bridges, and shot docks and caught fish on all of it! Palestine fish are bunched up on anything you can find but didn’t want to bite. A couple bites at any spot and you better move! He left with a better understanding of what purchase he wanted to make next and I give him David with Shut up and Fish number to call for his electronics needs. He asked about a pole or the Trillin motor for your Livescope mount and me personally use the trolling motor 90pxt of the time but I will tell you now you will find out how good you are or are not with boat control when you mount it on the trolling motor! I could do a week day this Tuesday through Thursday if somebody wanted to get out but the weather looks iffy!? I have a couple days left if Oct if somebody wants to take advantage of the good weather and fall bite and the first 2 weekends and lots of weekdays in Nov left! I will likely be at LOP then! Last November there was great!

Thanks!
