I own a 2009 Champion 220 Bay with a Yamaha 200 HPDI motor, about 350 hours. There's a nice Champion trailer with it. How do I figure out what this rig is worth to determine if I want to sell it? Every time I look at boat prices I'm totally sticker-shocked and I have absolutely no idea what my boat is worth. The boat has dual 9 inch Lowrance Ti2's and a 36volt Riptide Ulterra. There's several pricing guides for cars/trucks but there doesn't seem to be anything useful for used boats.

Go to NADA or Blue Book and you can look up individual Value for the Boat, Motor, Trailer and Accessories. Sad but boats just like Autos lose so much value when you drive them off the lot.

Good Luck and you can post the "For Sale" with Pics on the TFF.

From what i have been seeing on Facebook/boat trader and other boat for sale sites. The average selling price has been around $20K, some a little higher with people not really wanting to sell but trying to see if anyone is willing to pay the higher price in this market. I would do what Gone Fishin' said as this will give you a good baseline to go off of.

In addition to Blue Book, you can also look on Boat Trader or some of the other websites for similar boats and see what they are selling for. Some people will buy boats out of state if they get a good deal. If you see a similar boat with one graph for example you can estimate your boat as being worth slightly more (e.g. 50% of the graph cost).

You will see that some sellers are unrealistic, I have seen used boats listed for more than the new boat price, however over time the price will be reduced. Also remember that they may sell for less that listed.

Thanks for the replies, I had no idea where my boat was valued. With a galvanized tandem axle trailer and new tires, electronics, and the 112# Ulterra, I think I'll be listing it for $25K. The boat is located in Whitney.

25k should sell quick. I was sticker shocked too when I shopped 3 yrs ago. And the prices are even higher now just like many things.

Boats are going at a premium as is anything right now. My guess is you could probably get close to $25k maybe closer to 30k especially with the low hours on the motor.
