Was able to fish a couple of places this past week with my fishing buddy Jeff. Fished Mcqueeney and the bite was fair. We caught about 15 nice Bluegill/Redear in the 7 to 9 inch range. We also were able to get a few nice crappie. Fish were caught close or in dock slips in 10 to 12 feet of water. Crappie Magnets, Chartreuse/Black got the best results on the crappie. The sunnies were caught on Gulp Alive Leaches on a drop shot rig. The following day we fished the LBL in Austin. Fished the west side. The bite was slow. Ended up only catching 10 sunfish with two going in the 10" range. Had a nice bass get off just as I was getting it out of the water. Guessing the weight about 3 pounds. All fish were caught on the Gulp Alive Leaches using a drop shot rig. It was just nice getting out on the water. Boat traffic was light to medium on Mcqueeney and the LBL was not crowded at all.

Side Note: Fished six hours on Mcqueeney and 8 hours on the LBL.

The Gonzales Dam break has effected the fishing a lot in a bad way. The water level dropped and the current has picked up. Going to have to find some new spots to fish. bang

I kind of thought that. With both Lake Wood and now Lake Gonzales dams out of commissioned that will change the fishing patterns from the end of Meadow Lake down. hmmm

Side Note: Oh yea I totally forgot about Dunlap. That remains totally gone for me. realmad
