Show up everyday and take care of business.

25 employees here. Never closed. 2 cases the entire pandemic. Pre vaccine at that. I think maybe 4 people are now vaccinated. 3 for sure. One I suspect is. Never bothered asking him. Because it's none of my business. The others volunteered the info. We lose more productivity from the alcoholics not showing up on Mondays than we ever will from Covid.

My kind of company.

Testing can be a Royal PITA. I called in today, haven’t felt 100% for a couple days. If I don’t work I don’t get paid. Most that really need the pay would have went in! I’m blessed that my normal job is part time non exempt flex. The DOD wants all of us vaccinated (my PT job is DOD).

I was on hold with the local military hospital for an hour this am trying to find out where to get tested. I finally got through as I pulled up to a public testing site. The military hospital made me the first available testing appointment at 1315 (1:15 PM). I was in and out of the public test in 30 mins or less. It took another 45 mins to cancel my appointment on Post. Why anyone thinks government ran healthcare is great is beyond me!

So, I lost a days pay, maybe another two weeks pay if the test is positive? I’ll know more in 48 hours or less.

Prior to Covid I would have just went to work feeling puny. I don’t feel like potentially spreading the virus is smart so I’ll most likely lose two weeks pay. In most cases employer’s don’t pay sick time to non exempt flex. My employers won’t!!

I’m fully vaccinated, hopefully feeling puny with a bad headache is as bad as whatever this is gets.

From a business perspective, you cant run a business if your folks are sick and dying from an illness. One that we know how to prevent or at least severely limit the impact of should someone get it. I can see this catching on.

my son works the oil field... they said get the vax or tested everyday @ work.
My daughter-n-law is a dental hygienist in Washington state, they said get the vax or you get the ax.

Medical device manufacturing here. If you're not vaxed by first week of October your out of a job. In the mean time if your not vaxed have to test daily. They announced this before any were FDA approved.

I found out today, our Corp. Safety Dir. said self test kits could be in all the offices. Which I kinda figured they would do something like that. A few of the guys I work with said they will just do the self test and not get the shot. I figured it would be much easier to get the jab and get it over with. Most everbody I work with already had the jab. If I can survive all the shots as a kid in the 60's, I can make it through a covid shot. Some of those shots a kid made me sick as a dog and I can remember to this day.

I got the Pfizer shot and other than a little bit of a short arm and tiny bit of a headache which may be my alergies that kick in about this time of the year, the shot is no biggie so far.

What happens when everyone gets shot but covid is still here?

Covid will be the new common cold, just worse. After a while they will be able to treat it/deal with it. I doubt Covid is going away completely shot or not shot. I didnt get the shot cause I was afraid I would catch it, pretty sure I already had it. I did it to make my job easier and not have to go into the office to get tested. I haven't been in the office in a long time, would guess 18 months. The next time I want to go into the office is to turn in my company car and laptop when I retire after the first of the year.

You can treat/deal with it now. Just relax the ego, head to Tractor Supply and go the equine route.

Looks like Biden just mandated being vaccinated for government employees.
