I have followed all the Dennis Christian reports. I finally rigged up the mepps #2 and put it to use on Tawakoni today. I trolled up some fish on the pet spoon on finger point and there were fish everywhere. On the 2nd cast with the Mepps, I caught a fish and found my new favorite lure. I caught a limit with that lure. I love jigging up sand bass but I’ll catch them with the Mepps lure when I can as well!

For me I can catch more on the mepps without the bucktails. Yesterday on Twok, 1st time throwing the chartreuse #4 mepps and that caught evenly with the plain silver mepps. Its good to have new arsenal in your tackle box that catches most of the time and doesn't weigh 50# lol.

i've used Mepps since the 60's...#2 silver / white squirrel tail...now i have them from 00 / 0 / 1-5 in their own tackle box
